Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and verify invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely posting of transactions.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ledgers, and trial balances.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for night shift employees and manage timekeeping records.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end close procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with company policies and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
