Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, verify discrepancies, and ensure timely payment and collection.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Perform daily and monthly journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct nightly and weekly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary schedules and reports.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and variance analyses for leadership review.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to GAAP and internal control policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; prior experience in a night shift role is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite; expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and documentation.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (typically 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
