As a Night Shift Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting our accounting operations during off-peak hours. This position offers a unique schedule with no commute during rush hours and a chance to work with cutting-edge financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a nightly basis.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and month-end close procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform routine audits of financial data to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding account balances and transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Previous experience in accounting, preferably within a night shift or 24/7 operational environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night hours.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
