Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a nightly basis.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing necessary journal entries and variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting: Generate accurate financial reports and statements for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for external and internal audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite).
- Night Shift Availability: Must be available to work a night shift schedule.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot discrepancies and errors.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
