Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a focus on error-free posting during off-hours.
- Support the month-end and year-end close procedures by preparing journal entries and reconciling variance analysis.
- Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to ensure a seamless handover of financial activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Must be available to work a night shift schedule (typically 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM or 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate insightful reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy.
