Responsibilities
- Perform daily general ledger entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy for night-closing procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, on a nightly basis.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to deadlines.
- Review and verify invoices, receipts, and payroll records for discrepancies.
- Support the finance team with audit preparation and internal control compliance.
- Process journal entries and maintain accurate documentation for all financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Previous experience working in an accounting role, preferably within a night shift environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills under time pressure.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid night shift setting.
