Responsibilities
- Execute month-end closing procedures including reconciliations and journal entries
- Manage multi-currency transaction processing and forex hedging documentation
- Prepare statutory accounts and VAT returns compliant with HMRC regulations
- Analyze financial performance metrics and variance reports for senior leadership
- Oversee payroll processing for 500+ employees with auto-enrolment compliance
- Coordinate with auditors and prepare supporting documentation
- Maintain robust internal controls for SOX compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualification
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified or fully qualified with 3+ years experience
- Proven night shift or rotational schedule experience in finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with macros and Power BI visualization
- Deep knowledge of UK tax legislation and payroll regulations
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance mindset
