Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Financial Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and Excel.
- Reporting: Support the month-end close process by preparing basic financial reports.
- Documentation: Organize and file physical and digital financial documents.
- Communication: Communicate with vendors and clients regarding invoices and payment inquiries.
- Assistance: Aid the senior accounting team in tax preparation and audit support.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required; internship experience is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
- Integrity: High level of ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus but not mandatory.
