As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting our finance department, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Perform daily data entry and maintenance of the general ledger (GL).
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Support the Senior Accountant with budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Assist in the organization, indexing, and archiving of financial documents and invoices.
- Conduct basic audits to ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting software and reporting tools.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (preferred, but we offer training).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Aptitude for learning new financial software and systems quickly.
