Job Overview:
As a Junior Accountant, you will support the finance department with daily operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax returns and audit schedules.
- Maintain and update the general ledger and accounting databases.
- Support the senior accounting team with data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
