Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in our accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist senior accountants with month-end closing procedures.
- Support the audit process by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of sales and use tax filings.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
- No prior accounting experience required; we provide comprehensive training.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial terminology.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
