The Role:
In this entry-level position, you will support the senior accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing reports. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a solid foundation in financial management within one of the most vibrant business hubs in the US.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
- Prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic financial files and records.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and tax documentation under supervision.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data with a high degree of accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (0-2 years of experience).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel functions.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client meetings if required.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
