Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with actionable insights
- Lead audits and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and IRS regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite) for efficiency
- Provide strategic financial guidance to clients and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expertise in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of managing month-end closes and audit processes
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Colorado tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex financial concepts clearly
