Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for client portfolios
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for multiple entities
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures with audit support
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state/federal regulations
- Lead training sessions for junior bookkeepers on financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation preferred
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep understanding of North Carolina tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with error reconciliation skills
- Strong analytical abilities for financial statement interpretation
- Professional communication skills for client reporting
