Responsibilities
- Assist with General Ledger Maintenance: Support the daily entry and verification of financial transactions into accounting software and ledgers.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure accurate data entry, and assist in the timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Bank Reconciliation: Help reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist the finance team with gathering necessary data to prepare monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Document Organization: Maintain accurate filing systems for both physical and digital financial documents, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Compliance Assistance: Learn to assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. High school diploma with relevant coursework is acceptable for this entry-level position.
- No Experience Required: We provide comprehensive on-the-job training. A strong willingness to learn is more important than past experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and formatting).
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to spot errors in data entry and financial statements.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
