Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Process payroll entries and maintain employee timecards under supervision.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare basic financial reports.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies.
- Assist the accounting team with month-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic math skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to pass a background check.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
