As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health. You will work closely with senior staff to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, manage day-to-day transactions, and support our audit processes. Responsibilities
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries are recorded accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Manage and process accounts payable and receivable invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare basic financial statements and reports for management review.
- Support external auditors during annual audits by providing requested documentation.
- Maintain and organize financial files and records in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to input and track financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Recent graduate or 0-2 years of relevant experience in an accounting role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
