Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, financial statements, and monthly management reports for clients.
- Payroll: Assist in the processing of payroll functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.
- Software: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to manage client accounts efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Education: Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop, and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high standards of accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Organization: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
