Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts receivable cycles efficiently.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly and daily bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using accounting software.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll entries for employees.
- Tax Preparation Support: Gather necessary documentation and support the CPA firm during tax season.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain accurate records in the general ledger and perform variance analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients and internal teams.
- CA Tax Knowledge: Familiarity with California state tax regulations is highly desired.
- Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and trust.
