Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and C-Corporations.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain tax concepts.
- Assist in tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize refunds.
- Utilize tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx Tax) to manage client accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files and tax records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA certification (or currently studying for CPA) is a significant plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software and tax preparation programs.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
