Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll for employees and contractors in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to track expenses and manage budgets.
- Assist the senior accountant with ad-hoc financial analysis and audits.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficient in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and federal tax regulations is a plus.
