Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all entries are correctly posted and reconciled.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and issue timely client billing.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the processing of payroll functions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Bookkeeping Software: Utilize advanced accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications: Preferred: CPA, CMA, or Certified Bookkeeper designation.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups), and cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and resolve discrepancies quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
