Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for review by management.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance & Tax: Prepare supporting documentation for quarterly and annual tax filings and assist with annual audits.
- Bookkeeping Software: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to manage data entry and reporting.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
