Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including accruals and adjusting entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and budgets.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Organize and maintain financial files, records, and documentation.
- Assist with tax preparation and coordination with external auditors.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
