As a member of our night team, you will be the backbone of our month-end close process. You will work independently to manage reconciliations, process transactions, and generate critical financial reports, ensuring our business day starts with zero errors. Responsibilities
- Execute monthly and annual closing procedures with a focus on accuracy and timeliness during the night shift window.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Process high-volume accounts payable and receivable transactions and manage vendor communications.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, trial balances, and variance reports for management review.
- Assist external auditors by providing organized documentation and explanations of accounting records.
- Manage fixed asset tracking and ensure depreciation schedules are current.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP standards and internal company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or finance environment.
- CPA certification is highly preferred but not strictly required.
- Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
