Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments with 100% accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving inquiries, explaining products/services, and identifying cross-sell opportunities
- Maintain strict cash handling protocols and daily reconciliation procedures
- Open new accounts, process check orders, and assist with safe deposit services
- Uphold security compliance standards and fraud prevention protocols
- Collaborate with branch team to achieve sales and service goals
- Utilize banking software for transaction processing and record-keeping
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in finance preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in cash handling, customer service, or retail banking
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex financial concepts simply
- Proficiency in banking systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- New Mexico Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain)
