Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices and ensure timely payment within 30-day terms
- Reconcile AP sub-ledgers and resolve discrepancies with vendors
- Manage expense reports and employee reimbursements
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams on payment scheduling
- Maintain organized digital filing system for all AP documentation
- Analyze AP data for cost-saving opportunities
- Support month-end closing procedures
- Train junior staff on AP best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on AP experience in mid-sized companies
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
