Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Conduct comprehensive financial needs analyses and develop personalized investment strategies to help clients meet their retirement, education, and wealth accumulation goals.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor market trends and manage client portfolios, making strategic adjustments to optimize performance and manage risk.
- Business Development: Actively generate new leads through networking, community involvement, and professional referrals to expand the client base.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all investment recommendations and sales practices adhere to FINRA, SEC, and firm compliance standards. Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly reports for clients.
- Education: Educate clients on market movements, economic indicators, and the importance of diversification to build long-term trust and loyalty.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal specialists (tax, legal, insurance) to provide holistic financial planning solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Licensure: Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 (or 66) licenses required. Series 24 or CFP certification is a significant plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial sales, investment advising, or a related financial services role.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for clients.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and retirement planning vehicles.
- Self-Motivation: Proven track record of meeting sales targets and a high degree of drive to succeed in a commission-based environment.
- Local Presence: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Diego, CA area.
