Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and process weekly payroll
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate general ledgers
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses
- Oversee sales tax filings and compliance documentation
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks accounting systems
- Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals
- Generate custom financial reports for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Maryland tax regulations
- Proven experience with multi-currency transactions
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation highly desirable
