Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records for 15-20 clients
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations monthly
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Manage payroll processing and tax filings for small businesses
- Implement QuickBooks solutions and optimize accounting workflows
- Conduct periodic audits and internal controls review
- Liaise with auditors and tax authorities during examinations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Deep understanding of GAAP and Minnesota tax regulations
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- CPA or certified bookkeeper credentials a strong plus
- Proven experience with multi-client accounting systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
