Responsibilities
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Process invoices, prepare checks, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Record daily transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Bank Reconciliation: Compare bank statements to internal records and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Expense Monitoring: Track and categorize expenses for department budgets.
- Assist with Audits: Provide support to external auditors during annual reviews.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience or internship experience in accounting or finance.
- Software Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and QuickBooks or Sage.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when working with financial data and figures.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Integrity: High level of professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify errors and propose solutions efficiently.
