Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End Close: Support the finance team in preparing trial balances, adjusting entries, and financial statements.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and assist in collections.
- General Ledger Support: Maintain the general ledger by recording and posting transactions accurately.
- Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Filing & Documentation: Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for client and internal records.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Software: Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to detect errors and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data simply.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn new processes in a fast-paced environment.
