Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing trial balances and adjusting entries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and support external auditors during reviews.
- Review and code vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and approval.
- Maintain and organize the company's filing system and digital documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree with graduation date within 6 months).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting cycles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
