Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Perform daily accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including data entry and reconciliation.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Support the tax preparation team by organizing tax documents and conducting research.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems for both digital and physical records.
- Assist in the auditing process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) to track financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (internships welcome).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
