Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End Close: Support the finance team in preparing monthly financial statements and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform routine bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage expense reports, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules and analysis for annual reports.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical files of financial transactions and contracts.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting, or an internship in a corporate finance environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
