Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks with precision.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings under supervision.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical financial records.
- Process payroll data and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Assist external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) to track financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Willingness to obtain relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) upon hire.
