Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
- Support the internal audit process by organizing and maintaining financial documentation.
- Perform data entry and maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
- Assist with year-end tax preparations and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
- Prepare basic variance analysis and assist in budget forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree in a final year).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero).
- Basic understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
