Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support accounts payable/receivable functions including invoice processing and payment verification
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and federal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial workflows and reporting accuracy
- Participate in budget preparation and variance analysis initiatives
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel for data management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged)
- 0-2 years of accounting internship or entry-level experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software knowledge
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- QuickBooks certification preferred but not required
