Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify payments, and manage vendor relationships accurately and timely.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records match bank statements.
- General Ledger Support: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, posting journal entries, and preparing trial balances.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial statements and assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax packages.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting processes adhere to GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Data Management: Maintain and organize financial data in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and spreadsheets.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing a CPA/CMA certification).
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience; internship experience is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume transactions.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members.
