Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable processing
- Prepare and reconcile financial statements under supervision
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Enter and maintain financial data in accounting software systems
- Perform basic data analysis and report generation
- Collaborate with senior accountants on client projects
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to learn new software quickly (QuickBooks training provided)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving mindset
- Valid Tennessee driver's license (client site visits may be required)
