Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry and reconciliation
- Support month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor communications
- Prepare basic tax documents and financial statements under supervision
- Learn and apply GAAP principles and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Conduct account analysis and variance reporting
- Participate in internal audits and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn accounting software quickly
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (training provided)
