Responsibilities
- Assist with full-cycle accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for review by senior accountants
- Support audit processes by gathering documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare detailed financial reports for management
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records in accordance with retention policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- 0-2 years of professional accounting experience (internships acceptable)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
- Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and DCAA compliance preferred
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CPA candidate or actively pursuing certification a plus
