Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and regulatory compliance documents
- Manage payroll processing for 50+ employees bi-weekly
- Conduct internal audits and expense report reviews
- Support tax preparation activities for individual and corporate clients
- Maintain organized digital filing systems in compliance with GAAP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (recent graduates encouraged)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online
- Basic understanding of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Strong attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- 1-2 years internship or part-time accounting experience preferred
- Valid New Mexico driver's license for client site visits
