Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process optimization
- Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and data integrity
- Mentor junior accountants while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and multi-state tax compliance (AZ/CA focus)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven ability to lead complex reconciliations and audits
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and documentation
