Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the full-cycle accounting process, ensuring accuracy and strict compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for internal review and external audits.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings, including federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and credit card transactions on a monthly basis to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with the budgeting team to develop, monitor, and analyze monthly budget vs. actual reports and variance analysis.
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and accounts payable transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation schedules, and disposal tracking.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a professional services or corporate environment.
- CPA certification or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
