Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Process payroll data and ensure tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct audits and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
