Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee daily accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Daily Pay Processing: Facilitate the daily payroll and payables processing to guarantee employees and vendors receive payments on schedule.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and general ledger entries.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and management to provide insights on financial performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) are mandatory.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus but not required for this immediate-hire role.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high data integrity standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
