Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, timely, and fully reconciled.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and customer payments.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and identify any discrepancies or errors.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation requirements to ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and support budget planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, general accounting principles, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
