Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to determine borrower risk.
- Prepare and maintain accurate credit files and loan documentation in compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Assess and score loan applications to support the underwriting process.
- Monitor credit limits and alert management to potential delinquencies or portfolio risks.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide credit recommendations and structure loan terms.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or banking.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and credit scoring software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interactions.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
