Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Risk Assessments: Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and business plans to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants and existing clients.
- Loan Review and Approval: Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan officers and credit committees, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Regularly review and monitor the performance of the loan portfolio to identify early warning signs of default and take proactive measures.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all credit activities adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and banking standards.
- Client Relations: Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding their credit accounts, providing clear explanations of credit decisions and terms.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights to the management team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or a related financial role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), financial modeling, and familiarity with credit analysis software (e.g., FICO, Dun & Bradstreet).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
